The World Recreation Association of the Deaf is a non-profit recreational, educational, and cultural organization made up of deaf, hearing impaired and hearing people who live in all parts of the world.
WRAD celebrates the differences and diversities of people, and encourages interaction among the membership, for stimulating and exciting exchanges of ideas, concepts, and information.
International Committee of Sports for the Deaf
The Comité International des Sports des Sourds was founded in Paris, France on the 24th of August 1924 at a meeting of Deaf sports leaders from Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Great Britain, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Poland and Romania.
International Martial Arts Federation of the Deaf
At last, we expect sincerely all fellow countrymen of the deaf to unite together to make efforts for the welfare of the deaf harmoniously, encouraging martial arts and sports, promoting the exchange of disciplines and developing international friendship of the deaf and hard of hearing.

Outward Bound West Deaf Courses
Outward Bound West facilitates three open enrollment courses for
Deaf/HOH and Signing individuals, an 11 day Technical Skills course, a 7 day
Women’s Adult Renewal course and a 14 day Mountaineering course. In addition,
any school group can arrange a tailored contract course which will be customized
to fit your group’s goals, timeline and budget. Similar courses previously have
been run for the Indiana School for the Deaf and the Rochester School for the
Deaf. We would be happy to answer any of your questions about open enrollment or
contract courses for the Deaf/HOH and signing population.
Rochester Rascals Men's Softball Team
The purpose for the Rochester Rascals is to promote sportsmanship, leadership on the field and more importantly, a community-wide recognition of men's softball for the Rochester community. Also, the goal is to create equality between deaf and hearing teams in and out of competition.
Association Deaf Italian Chess
The Association Deaf Italian Chess (A.S.I.S.) was founded in 1989 in Rome, Italy and is recognised by International Committee of Silent Chess (I.C.S.C.) and by the Federation Chess Italien (F.S.I.); it publishes its periodical magazine "Il Cavallo Silenzioso" (A.S.I.S. Bulletin) every three months. Besides it organizes the Italian championships individuals and teams.
